Meet the Principals:-
Fiona is a dedicated Recruitment Professional who possesses over twenty years recruitment experience.
Her earlier career was spent in Finance, followed by a number of years within the Marketing division of IBM. Her move into recruitment came in 1987, when she joined the prolific recruitment organisation SCR to work within their established IT team. She was given the opportunity shortly after joining to assist in developing the technical sector for the group, which she did successfully.
In 1992 understanding that her clients and candidates were in need of a more dedicated approach to their recruitment needs she established JFM Associates, which was quickly followed by JFM HR and JFM Design. Her vision was to build a company based on integrity and capability.
To date her clients have included some of the biggest names in the design world, including Sir Norman Foster and Partners, Ove Arup, Atkins and Faber Maunsell. This has helped to develop the company's reputation and they have now become one of the most respected names in the technical recruitment market place.
Mat Azali BA (Hons.) Dip. Arch (B'ham) RIBA
Mat is a qualified Architect, as well as an Interior Designer who has built up some excellent clients throughout the Midlands. Working with a small team of dedicated Professionals he is able to call on expert advice across a number of fields, including Architectural Services, Interior Design and Space Planning.
Mat is currently actively involved in the Far East market, where he runs an aggregate concern (recently securing two major projects to work on Highways and Sea Defence Schemes).
His latest venture is the development of a 40 acres Beachfront Resort. The project will include a marina, lagoon, hotel complex and a large number of private dwellings. The project is currently receiving planning approval and Mat is busy putting the finishing touches to his designs He has been supported by a number of overseas Architects and Surveyors, who are playing an integral part in developing this scheme (more information to follow shortly with a link to the site for Endau Laguna Beachfront Resort Residence, Malaysia).
Richard Hodson MREC
Richard joined JFM at the beginning of of 2007 particularly to develop the already established HR business for the company.
A recruiter since 1986, he formerly worked for IPS Group, the largest independently owned insurance and financial sevices recruitment consultancy in the UK and hence has a wide experience of the professional recruitment sector.
Richard's style is to provide a very consultative service to clients and candidates, favouring quality over volume. He enjoys engaging with people, understanding their requirements and providing a thorough transparent service.
His objective is simple - to provide an effective Recruitment Solution for all parties, delivered in a professional and friendly manner, with the result of complete client and candidate satisfaction - leading to repeat business and recommendations.
Chris Tomblin is a research associate who supports JFM in it's retained assignment campaigns. Chris has worked closely with the group for more than six years and has an excellent understanding of the workings of the design and project management consultancy sectors.
He is active across the UK, supporting the group on many Key Projects.
Sue joined JFM in March 2007 and since this time has been actively involved in the recruitment of Technical Specialists across a number of fields, including Water, Environmental, Architecture and Building Structures.
She brings with her a maturity, which is combined with her superb Organisational skills, which has already made her a very effective recruiter. She has previously worked in recruitment and her earlier career was spent in her native Canada, where she worked for the City of Grande Prairie as an Office Manager. Previous to joining the City of Grande Prairie she had successfully run her own website business, where she managed all aspects of sales and marketing, as well as accounting for a number of Key Clients.
Clare Sugden BA (Hons.)
Clare started her career within hospitality and care work but chose to use her people skills and proactive character within the Recruitment Industry, where she started working for a London based consultancy within Bridges and Civil Structures internationally for the top UK Engineering Consultancies such as Atkins, Hyder, Scott Wilson and Ove Arup, where she became Account Manager.
In 2007 she relocated to Birmingham and recruited for the construction industry working with contractors such as Balfour Beatty and Morrison and soon became the Construction Employer Engagement Co-ordinator for the Company.
Clare is now using the experience she has gained to provide a professional yet 'Personal Approach' within JFM to achieve Client and Candidate confidence and satisfaction to provide an effective Recruiting Style to please all parties involved.

'The Old Fire Station'
Our building is a unique 1920`s fire station, a Grade II listed building which has been revamped into a superb state-of-the-art office. Whilst the frontage of the building represents the art deco period the interior is modern and contemporary and has some fine examples of modern furniture architecture, such as Charles Eames, Philip Stark and George Nelson.

WHERE TO FIND US:
JFM is situated just outside the centre of Birmingham. The office is about a ten minute drive, or six minute train journey from the city centre and provides on street parking. The train station is a two minute walk from the office.
