Title: Principal Pavement Engineer
Description: Principal/Senior Pavement Engineer Berkshire 45 - 50k Our client a major force within the pavement engineering/infrastructure market are keen to develop their market share by making this key appointment. Currently they work with clients across the country as well as overseas and are looking to strengthen this further. The position involves leading on the delivery of the technical aspects of their work and developing the technical staff around you. There will be responsibility for the development, management and delivery of projects in the UK and overseas, including to customers such as HA, Transport Scotland and maintenance contrcators. You will also be responsible for the leadership and submission of proposals for work; as well as working closely with the groups partners and clients to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction The main focus will be to:- " Lead / manage the technical delivery of pavements projects to client satisfaction " Manage staff within projects and contribute to staff and team development " Lead / contribute to the writing of reports to the groups standards and client satisfaction " Manage project work in accordance with the companys Quality Management System " Manage tender submissions and lead / contribute to proposal writing " Proactively seek business opportunities and participate in planned business development events " Develop positive relationships with partners and clients " Opportunities may also exist to work internationally (primarily in the Middle East and Africa) For your part it is hoped that you will possesse a scientific or engineering degree and have a proven track record in the delivery of both research and consultancy work. Alongside this you will possess a good working knowledge of current pavement design standards and specifications including pavement assessment methods and analytical pavement design. It is essential that you have the ability to prepare high quality Technical Reports and be able to present work at seminars and conferences. You will also have gained a track record in technically leading project research and delivering and managing projects to time, quality and cost.
