This global consultancy is experiencing a huge rise in their workload which has led to the need for an experienced Transportation Speciallist in their Birmingham office.
Key to this role will be the ability to show expertise in planning, policy, appraisal and strategy. Alongside this a public sector focus on business case appraisals and stakeholder liaison. In more detail the role will include a range of public sector projects from transport strategies, options appraisal, business cases, demand forecasting etc. across all modes of travel - highways, public transport, walking and cycling.
As the role is a public sector facing role; therefore technical experience in scheme appraisal and business cases is essential, as is a good working knowledge of WebTAG guidance and methodologies. Alongside this project delivery, as this is also a client facing and business development role; as such excellent communication and tender writing skills will be needed.
Knowledge and application of WebTAG with a good understanding of transport modelling will be useful, but this is not seen as a modelling role.
There will be a need to become involved in project management and direction, so excellent report writing skills are essential.
