Our client is a hugely successful consultancy with a wide portfolio of civil, transportation, built and environmentally based projects.
As their businesses continue to thrive so they seek to appoint an aspiring TD to join their flourishing Geotechnical group. This role will involve the technical delivery of engineering geological inputs to their portfolio of work across the nuclear and energy sectors. In that capacity you will be responsible for developing and evolving suitable technical approaches, for providing technical leadership to project specific teams of engineering geologists, hydrogeologists and geotechnical engineers delivering those approaches, and for representing these specialisms to the wider company project team, and to their clients. Alongside this you will be actively involved in the growth of the business, supporting sector specific pursuits as a technical specialist.
Additionally as well as being a technical leader you will also possess excellent leadership and communications skills and be a graduate in Geology with some experience in the nuclear sector.
You will possess good experience of shallow and deep investigation and characterization of ground, groundwater and rock mass characteristics and material properties. as well as he design of rock excavations and rock slopes.
A broad range of geotechnical design experience including the assessment of slope stability, earthworks, and foundation design is also desired as well as the ability to mentor a sizeable department.
