Title: Divisional Director
Description: Divisional Director - Infrastructure Planning Birmingham 70k plus benefits Excellent prospect to join this truly innovative firm of Architects, Engineers and Planners who provide design and project management services across a wide area of work covering commercial, government and industrial sectors. Our client commands a superb position in the consultancy market place and is seen as a leader in many sectors including Transportation, Highways and Planning. Their business focuses on advising clients on sustainability issues including renewable energy, low carbon economies, impacts of climate change and waste and resource management. They seek a Director to lead this group who will most likely be a Town Planner who will be able to meet their growing UK business needs and future development aspirations.You will have a sound track record on advising on planning strategy as well as managing and delivering consents for large scale infrastructure schemes, particularly those obtained through the Development Consent Order procedure. You will take responsibility for playing a big part in developing the business further and a lead role in the delivery of Development Consent Orders and/or Transport and Works Act Orders in support of major infrastructure investment. Additionally developing the company`s offering in major infrastructure planning and consents processes, in support of the wider business including Highways, Rail, Nuclear, Energy, Waste and Water. You will be seen as a senior member of the national planning team to deliver a range of planning projects. This will include managing resources, building capability and capacity, and driving technical excellence in the field of infrastructure planning. Writing and reviewing planning deliverables to a very high standard. This includes high level options appraisals, preparing and reviewing documents for planning applications, public examination and public inquiry. For your part you will be preferably a Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) with an excellent understanding of current planning issues and the statutory planning processes (TCPA, DCO, TWAO and Hybrid Bill) for major infrastructure projects. You will have the ability to inspire confidence in senior client representatives as well as strong technical ability with experience in the development and delivery of planning strategies and planning applications and related areas including EIA and other Impact Assessments for large scale infrastructure.
