||Principal Catchment Scientist
||PRINCIPAL CATCHMENT ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST
Leading multidisciplinary consultancy with a range of work across the water and environment fields are seeking a talented Catchment Environmental Scientist to join their thriving Midlands group.
As a Principal Consultant you are likely to have an MSc/PhD with significant catchment science experience or equivalent, with a focus on developing and implementing solutions within a catchment-based approach framework. In particular, you should be able to demonstrate significant capability in technical leadership in catchment management and environmental projects, specifically in one or more of the following areas:
• Catchment management and ecosystems services policy and implementation.
• Climate change impact assessment and adaptation planning.
• Experience of the Habitats Directive and Water Framework Directive assessments.
• Experience in delivering projects as part of the Restoring Sustainable Abstraction Programme.
• Preparation of drought management plans.
You will need need to demonstrate experience of working and in leading multi-disciplinary teams and in providing technical input to environmental assessments. Experience of working in Consultancy, Environment Agency, SEPA or Water Companies would be considered an advantage.
It is important that you will be able to demonstrate skills in factual and interpretative reporting, data management and analysis and presentation. You will be familiar with the regulatory, business and policy environment in which their clients operate, and have the capacity to develop and maintain long-term relationships with our clients.
