Title: Principal Transport Planner
Description: PRINCIPAL TRANSPORT PLANNER £62,000 BIRMINGHAM This world renowned practice of Engineers work across the globe on a wide range of schemes covering the built and infrastructure markets. As they continue to expand their offering within their transportation business they seek to appoint a key player to their thriving Birmingham office. As an integral part of the team you will be responsible for driving forward a number of key planning projects across the region. You will also be tasked with championing the company`s presence in the market and possess a good mix of commercial and technical skills with the ability to make connections. The role in more detail will involve the project management of a range of transport projects involving responsibility for resourcing, financial management and controls including the timely and reliable delivery of objectives. Responsibility for ensuring appropriate and necessary liaison with programme or project management for resources, resource allocation of the team. Involved in longer-term strategic resourcing requirements and project delivery. Management of project teams including team mentoring and management involving skills transfer, aligned development to best practice action and activity. Consultation and liaison with a wide range of client groups enhancing and developing the company`s branding and market perceptions. Managing and communicating client’s expectations, delivery time frames, risk analysis and advice. Key strategic input into divisional business activities, developments and business alignment including maximising internal markets within the Group. For your part it is hoped that you will be a graduate in a related subject, as well as holding an MSc, although this is not essential You will possess 10 years or more experience within transport planning with a good knowledge of transport policy, master planning and the ability to manage multi disciplinary projects with full technical and financial responsibility. You will enjoy managing teams as well as both delivering and exceeding clients expectations.
