Description: Business Manager (Land Referencing/Surveying) Midlands £75k plus benefits A leading consultancy with offices across the UK that provide land referencing services for many of the UK’s most prominent and strategic infrastructure development projects over the past 20 years are seeking a dynamic Business Manager. The company`s core services include land referencing and statutory processes, geo- spatial systems, topographic surveying and quantity surveying. Infrastructure spending in the UK is set to increase significantly over the next five to 10 years. Network Rail plans to invest £16bn between 2014 and 2016, there will be significant investment in major road building, and there is a £200bn pipeline of infrastructure projects in the Energy sector. The company are ideally placed to support such projects with their team of geographers, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) surveyors and land information specialists. They work with regulated industries in both the private and public sectors, including: • Roads – Highways Agency, Transport NI, Transport Scotland, local authorities • Rail – HS2 • Water – Thames Tideway Tunnel • Energy – Eirgrid They focus on providing value to clients by delivering the right outcomes in the most efficient way – maximising the success of planning applications by ensuring that all necessary consents and permissions are identified and met. For construction, they deliver highly specialist, technical environmental skills to deliver projects on time and to budget, then they provide the monitoring and maintenance services to ensure that their clients’ infrastructure performs just as it should. Their current need calls for a well- seasoned Business Manager who will lead and develop the team with both public and private sector clients across the UK. It is hoped that you will have a strong commercial background and have a degree in either business or surveying with a thorough knowledge of the industry and what the latest developments are. You will be given a great amount of responsibility within the group and will be rewarded accordingly with the opportunity to progress very quickly, whilst the company will ensure you are well looked after.
