Title: Head of Airport Planning
Description: Head of Airport Planning Berkshire 100,000 This major multi- disciplinary consultancy with a world wide appeal and range of schemes that span the globe are embarking on further growth. They are seeking a seasoned professional to join their growing Aviation Team, which is working on a number of high profile airport development projects for major clients in the aviation industry. To assist them in continuing to expand their business they are seeking an experienced Airport Planner to lead the airport planning discipline within the UK providing direction to a team of junior and graduate airport planners. In conjunction with the Aviation Technical Lead you will develop the airport planning capability in terms of staff, tools and training and seek to significantly grow the project and client portfolio for airport planning commissions. Ideally you will have a flair for creative problem solving, will be knowledgeable of current aviation industry initiatives, will proactively drive innovation and be passionate about Airport Development. Additionally possess excellent communication skills and feel comfortable interfacing with clients at all levels of seniority. The company are currently involved in airport planning and development projects across a wide range of airports both in the UK and overseas and whilst the position will be based in Berkshire you will be required to travel periodically on a short term basis. For your part you will clearly be able to demonstrable experience in the following areas: Airport Master Planning Capacity Analysis Feasibility Studies Project Management Team Leadership It is hoped that you will possess significant experience in aviation/airports, as well as a good understanding of airport operations, ability to manage and motivate a team and bid preparation. You will have a practical application of specialist Airport Planning Software experience (e.g. CAST, SIMMOD, Pathplanner, Vissim, ArcPort, TAAM etc, as well as experience in traffic forecasting and analysis and good experience of air traffic management and project management skills.
