Title: Technical Director - Transport Modelling
Description: TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - TRANSPORT MODELLING BIRMINGHAM 75,000 Our client has a reputation for winning high profile infrastructure and transportation projects across the UK. As their transportation unit continues to grow they are seeking to appoint a Technical Director to assist in expanding and developing their Midlands offering within their transportation modelling capability. The role is seen as an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated transportation division who continue to win some truly exceptional projects. They are hugely successful in securing and developing long term relationships and frameworks with their predominately public sector client base which at a national level includes the DfT, NTA, NRA, Welsh Government, Highways England and Network Rail. They manage a number of long term framework agreements with West Midlands Combined Authority / Transport for West Midlands, Birmingham City Council, West Midlands Highways Alliance, Leicestershire, Transport for London, Transport for Greater Manchester, South Yorkshire PTE / City Region, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Essex, Lancashire, Cheshire East and Buckinghamshire. For your part you will be well versed in delivering high profile schemes and acting as a mentor to a successful and vibrant team of Modellers and Planners. Key to the role will be responsibility for modelling and all the necessary commissions, supporting the delivery of these projects, offering project management solutions and guiding the teams. Additionally you will support the development of current portfolio of long term frameworks and offer clients realistic solutions. Essential to this role is that you will be a seasoned Modeller with experience in using SATURN, VISUM, EMME or CUBE. Experience and proven track record within the Public Sector in the Midlands area including Local Authorities and Highways England. Additionally Expert Witness experience and a proven track record of delivering high profile and diverse modelling and transport planning commissions for public sector clients.
