Title: Principal Ecologist
Description: PRINCIPAL ECOLOGIST BIRMINGHAM £50,000 plus Following sustained growth in the environment sector our client is now seeking a highly driven and motivated individual who can help expand their ecology offering across the country. The company seek a taletned individual who wwill assist in managing thei current workload and have the ability torm lasting relationships and develop this team significantly. In more detail the role will involve: Influencing the strategy for existing and future projects and growth initiatives Client liaison to build on the existing pipeline but also to develop new client relationships and opportunities Engagement with stakeholders and statutory consultees Develop strong interface with internal teams to promote understanding of your discipline and other technical teams Management and review of all technical components including fee proposals, surveys, EIA Chapters and assessments Sound understanding and experience of Project Management and Financial Systems The successful applicant will be a principal or a proven senior looking to move into this position. You will have a strong track record within your field and a thorough understanding of the planning and EIA process. In addition to this you will have a detailed knowledge of standards and guidelines, UK Wildlife Legislation and up and coming changes that will affect your specialist area. You will be joning this highly successful grolup of engineers and planners who have a unique approach and who have an exceptional client base. For your part you will be a graduate in a relevant subject with over 10 years’ experience, EIA experience, commercial awareness and business development skills as well as excellent verbal, written and communication skills and a keen eye for detail. It is expected that you will have full membership of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (MCIEEM), Protected Species Licences (bats and GCN would be advantageous) and be an ambitious indivdual.
