Great prospect for a Geotechnical Engineer to join this leading consultancy who have just doubled in size. Their dedication to work and their client base has led to some fantastic schemes within the Highways sector and created some superb roles within their well respected geotechnical team.
You will be a key part of a geotechnical team, providing professional advice in the field of Geotechnical Engineering whilst ensuring efficient project delivery and budget management for internal and external clients. Working on Highways England schemes in the Midlands and maintenance contracts and local authority schemes across the counties you will be a key member of this very busy team.
The role will require you to carry out ground investigation supervision, soil and rock slope inspections and reporting for geotechnical design works including slope stability, foundations, embedded retaining structures and ground improvements.
Preferably a Civil Engineering or Geology graduate you will have experience of geotechnical design in the Highways, Water, Marine and/or Rail infrastructure sectors, including foundation design. Additionally you will have previously worked in Geotechnical project teams within a business environment and be able to demonstrate experience in the delivery of geotechnical projects and reports with working knowledge of UK design codes (including EC7 Part 1, and UK annexes), standards and specifications. Experience of rock slope inspection would be beneficial and IRATA training would be ideal.
