Description: Flood Risk Management and Drainage Engineer Reading 45,000 Our client a global leader in the engineering and managment consultancy fields are an experiencing huge growth across many sectors of their business. Their sustainable business unit works across renewable energy, flood risk management, impacts of climate change and waste and resource management. As they continue to grow their UK business they are seeking a Civil Engineer to assist with the development of outline and detailed design solutions for flood risk management based in the Reading office. You will join a well respected consultancy who work with the Environment Agency, Local Authorities, as well as private sector clients. Working on projects for the Environment Agency, Local Authorities and some private sector clients, you will also support other technical disciplines within the company. In more detail the role will involve:- Appraisal of flood risk costs and benefits Drainage analysis and design Solution identification and development of technical details Preparation of technical notes Working within an established design and appraisal team, who support your learning and career progression It is hoped that you will be a graduate in Civil Engineering with an awareness of the development of outline and detailed design solutions and a proven ability to work as part of a team. Experience using AutoCAD would also be useful as would WINDES and GIS exposure.
