Title: Planning Manager
Description: PLANNING MANAGER BIRMINGHAM 50,000 Superb prospect with this national group who provide infrastructure services to private and public sector customers across a comprehensive range of markets. Currently they are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to work on the M5 Oldbury Project. The role calls for a Manager who will provide planning management and support to both the precontract and contract operations for the business. It is expected that you will have gained experience on Highways England Schemes, and experience of delivery before planning role and be competent in project management software preferably Primavera Version 6+, and have extensive knowledge in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis. In more detail the role will involve providing programmes as required for pre-construction and construction activities as well as producing tender programmes compliant with ITT, tender sum, design (where appropriate), assurance, and methodology agreed with suppliers and bid teams. Additionally delivering presentation of tender programme to both internal and external customers and providing detailed support and assistance to the project in order to enable the team to monitor pinch-points on the critical path and test and change logic where previously agreed to either improve upon the baseline programme or to mitigate potential delays. Also producing reports and programme commentary to customers on particular reporting requirements as well as working with the commercial team to produce earned value analysis data in compliance with the customer and the company`s requirements. Working within the highways team you will be involved in a range of schemes across the country, which range from Smart Motorways to Congestion Relief and Safety Improvement. As an experienced Planning Manager you will be preferably a graduate in Civil Engineering with a wealth of experience in the industry based in the UK.
