Title: Lead Process Engineer
Description: LEAD PROCESS ENGINEER BIRMINGHAM 60,000 Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer to join this fast moving consultancy with an enviable workload around the UK and overseas. The role will involve all aspects of process development, design and coordination as part of the group. This can be from small scale concept studies to challenging full EPCMCQ projects, on either greenfield or brownfield locations. Project activities include the planning and execution of conceptual, basic and detailed process engineering, Additionally supporting construction, testing, commissioning and qualification. The role will also involve proactive coordination and communication of process project data within and outside of the project team, to ensure the correct quality of output is achieved in the correct time frame. Developing process hours estimates and work breakdown structures on projects and carefully managing and controlling on an on-going basis in accordance with the overall project schedules. Anticipating potential problems ideally before they arise. You will be required to perform calculations, completing datasheets, registers, specifications, preparing design philosophies, reports and studies and P&IDs. Planning, management and successful delivery of Process Design scopes of works and deliverables lists. There will be responsibility for giving technical direction to the process team on design norms and ensuring the companys Change Control procedures are rigorously followed, as related to projects. You will be a clear leader and with the ability to lead and motivate a team, mentor others, including junior and graduate level staff. The role will require flexibility in relation to travel within and outside the UK in office and site locations. For your part you will be a graduate in either Chemical, Biochemical, Process or related Engineering with proven and relevant professional experience at a similar level. It is hoped that you will be Chartered Engineer and possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills, trouble-shooting, root cause analysis and risk assessments with a strong attention to detail.
