Our client a world leader within the design and management field work across the globe on a wide range of building, infrastructure and environmental schemes. They have been successful in winning a very healthy stream of work in the Midlands which has led to the need for an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
Joining the QS function, who provide clients with a full range of pre and post contract quantity surveying services covering residential and commercial schemes they are keen to appoint a Quantity Surveyor with good residential experience.
For your part you will be able to demonstrate a high aptitude in service delivery. Reporting to a Technical Director, the role will require the successful candidate to take a project leading QS role. You will be client facing and demonstrate technical qualities and become involved in pre and post Quantity Surveying contract duties.
Additionally manage projects through the entire project life cycle and prepare estimates, cost plans and tender documentation using various forms of measurement and contracts. You will also be responsible for price and prepare monthly financial cost reports and cash flow forecasts throughout the period of a contract and provide assistance to other disciplines within the company as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
You will be a graduate in Quantity Surveying and have a working knowledge of applicable industry standard forms of contract, typically JCT and NEC. Additionally experience of cost forecasting and reporting, cost control, cost risk management, advising on procurement options, procurement documentation preparation, contract documentation preparation, contract administration and contract documentation. Use of MS project P6 or similar programming programs.
