Title: Senior Roads Programme Manager
Description: Senior Roads Programme Manager Midlands Fixed 3 year contract offering a superb package An interesting role has arisen with this leading government body to take on a key position to manage and deliver excellence across their road schemes programme. The role will involve managing complex interfaces between multiple agencies, stakeholders and other programmes. You will create a sound technical evidence based which will bring in further funding into the programme. You will also be accountable for developing corridor studies and business cases across the Strategic and Major Roads Networks in the Midlands, as well as the preparation of technical reports, commission briefs and presentations relating to the organisation. There will be close interaction with Highways England, Local Authority and Department of Transport colleagues to successfully bring further funding into the region. You will ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to budget. Additionally you will be responsible for coordinating and managing multiple complex sub-projects simultaneously, ensuring that the dependencies between them are effectively identified and managed. Ensuring that coherent up to date schedules and milestone plans are in place and are regularly monitored to drive the delivery of projects and activities against agreed timescales. You will oversee the delivery of projects and activities, managing external contractors` assigned projects, managing project performance and chairing project team meetings to coordinate effective delivery. There will be close interaction with the DfT and HE to ensure that their technical products meet their expectations and provide a sound evidence based to funding requests. It is hoped that you will be a Civil Engineer with sufficient project/programme management experience and have an analytical mind with robust report writing skills as well as experience of transport business case development and an appreciation of transport modelling.
