This inspiring multidisciplinary consultancy continue to win some significant schemes across the UK. As a result of their success they are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Principal Archaeologist to manage schemes in their Leeds office.
The role is a key one within the organisation and will involve supporting a range of projects for clients in major public and private sector organisations whilst joining a well-respected group who offer superb and truly realistic opportunities.
It is expected that you will have relevant experience in the preparation of desk-based assessments, desk-based surveys, and experience preparing cultural heritage inputs to all stages of EIA. Infrastructure, in particular highways experience would be of particular value as would experience in designing, procuring and managing archaeological fieldwork.
The company require a technically strong individual with great attention to detail and excellent report writing ability.
Key to the role will be to take the lead on cultural heritage inputs to all stages of EIA. Additionally design of evaluation and mitigation, procurement and management of contractors, whilst providing advice to clients on all aspects of planning and development. You will act as a mentor to other members of the team and develop and maintain client relationships along with promoting business development ideas.
We are keen to hear from graduates in archaeology with strong technical and management skills. You will possess good procurement and management skills relating to contractors, as well as the ability to lead a team and exceed client`s expectations.
