This multi award winning multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong presence in the rail market are keen to add to their successful team of Engineers and Project Managers.

They seek individuals who are able to take control of managing requirements, budgets, schedules, with the ability to manage those in the team to deliver.  Strong technical knowledge is seen as essential together with ability to manage others.

It is essential that you are technically strong and possesses superb communication skills as well as problem solving exposure.

In greater detail your role as Project Manager will involve developing and leading a multi-functional project management consultancy team within projects of different disciplines and complexities. ` Hands On` experience is seen as key as is experience of working within the Network Rail environment (or other similar major UK client organisations such as HS2).

You will be tasked with:-

Establishing robust processes and procedures to manage the project, in consultation and engagement with our commercial and administration departments.

Delivering necessary periodic project reports, to allow senior managers to direct the project appropriately

Managing interfaces between project and client teams and establishing risk mitigation measures.

Delivering information regarding changes and delays that have impacted the project on a period by period basis and propose how these should be resolved / managed.

Facilitating effective planning of the works within the project team

You will possess a relevant engineering or management degree and be Chartered or near Chartered.  APM/MSP/PMI/PRINCE2/Six Sigma post-graduate qualifications would be favourable. Experience in major construction or rail projects is seen as key.
