SENIOR ENGINEER

Successful specialist sub-contractor to the construction industry are seeking to appoint a key member of their structural engineering team.

The role is seen as integral to the development of the department and will involve the design of a wide range of precast concrete products, generally associated with civil engineering projects, but also involved with pre-stressed concrete and modular building systems.

You will join a team of Engineers and Technicians, where activities are based around specific projects or standard product ranges.

The department engages with all divisions of the company, providing technical and structural input in support of existing products and new product development.

In more detail the position will involve:-

Production of structural designs associated with precast concrete products.

Liaising With Internal and External Clients, Contractors and Consultants.

Supervision of Engineers and CAD Technicians

Ensuring work output conforms to specifications and Standard/Code requirements

Providing design office support to production departments

Assisting with drawing queries from estimating & commercial staff on technical matters regarding product use and manufacture

Managing the design function and external liaison on specific projects and maintaining project records

For your part you will be a confident and capable Engineer who possesses initiative with the confidence to adapt and lead by example as your role develops into a more senior one in a short space of time. It is hoped that you will be Chartered with over five years experience and have some past experience of precast concrete design.
